it's not anyhow sad, it's rather good. i'm glad that i decided to be different than him and that i was smart enough (at least for this if not for other things) to not agree with his bullshit and to not take his meaningless advices and medieval ethics. it doesn't bring me any joy to be mean about him since he's a person who paid for my living for 8 years but that's how it is. other than that, i'm entirely responsible for most of the things in my life. i don't blame anyone and i don't have any silly excuses like "fate" for my life, all of my decisions are only mine
@Mokujin
I turned 18 a month ago, i'm in senior year of high school. So during this summer i'm gonna move out, not sure about spending weekends here but i sure as hell won't expect any help from my parents (i would rather starve than ask for money).
Hey Arin I used to be like that, when I was still in college I qualified for a prestigious (but decrepit - only the title of being have one igives you the prestige) scholarship grant from the government. It means that you belong to the top 5% of the intellectually gifted students, but you get the money handed out in monthly stipends, depends on you on how you spend it lol... Of course I spend it on tuition of one of the best uni on the island (I could go to shool to Manila, but I have to pay for ship fare), I barely had any money for myself, but I refused to ask to my father because he treats me kinda bad.
He doesnt beat me or anything but, I tried to live independently, got sick because I skipped lunch almost daily, on my second year I had to drop out.
Cant help it dads can be useful even though sometimes they are a pain in the head. Now I've been stuck for 2 years listening to my dad ranting everyday of how I am a failure to every aspect of my life.
In his indeirect way he keeps on 'discouraging' me to be the best I can be; when I was in high school and was badly needing the moral support of my father, he wasnt there. He always seem to have a knack of spiting me when I make little mistakes - I work in his little business thats purely mechanical stuff, he yells at me for making mistakes even at the first time I do something of which hes trying to teach me.
I dont understand, he never does this to my sister or my younger brother, he takes them to restaurants when they win stuff at interschool tournaments, he buys them those neat art stuff I always wanted and had been saving for months with my little allowance.
does anyone here play realm of the mad god? i need a middleman to transfer my stuff from steam acc to browser acc since linking is broken and steam version is laggy as hell
Sometimes (and I mean only sometimes) having a whiny parent is better than not have one, or have one that is completely detached from his children.
That being said, some people grow morally and mentally by having to do things on their own a lot and become much better, my cousin for example never had help from his parents who were almost like junkies so to say and he is not one of the main guys from one of the strongest pharmaceutical company in Switzerland, travels the world, earns shit ton of money and enjoys his life after he used to live in a small room for 5 or so years while graduating university in Paris.
Life sucks mostly but try to find a way to stay positive or at least stay focused and keep working towards what you want to get/achieve, its the only way.
For some of you, life is the only true gift given to you.
And for gods sake, be a bit more happy while posting on dotabuff :PPP

Here in Switzerland until you have your "completed vocational training" your parents have to pay for you no matter how old you are
