One of the best updates in dota history together with getting rid of parties in solo ranked. Solo ranked change is in test though. I hope it becomes permanent.
This isnt really cool. There are some legit situations where people should be able to calibrate at 4k+ mmr but now they cannot. 3500 cap is just tooo low.

i hit 5k from 4.4 in like 100 games or less. and i was worse then than i am now
3.5 vs 4.5 isnt a difference in anything except time for a good player. you can steamroll through most of those, just it takes a long time for account selling purposes
@mNsk.jay K it's true that 3500 is the max, I feel sad to those players who played 4k MMR Calibration before but affected by the update and instantly dropped to 3.5K MMR. Now I'm planning to stop playing my new account and will go back to my main and play with my compendium. I will wait maybe valve revert the update. if not then continue will just grind the old and new account :))
Better finish calibrating your mmr early.. Who know in the future the max calibration drop to 3k.. But, Maybe the maximum calibration will be 3.7k where at the point, the player acknowledged as vhs player.
im happy now they set it to 3.5k. there will be less ruiners and complainers in 4k brackets now, so less whining on reddits and more time for valve to work on the actual issues.

Sometimes.you can sometimes you can not. That is what people call trench and why many ppl stuck there for ages unless you are not playing 10 games per day and become a robot more than a human

3.5k is better than 3.8k to 4.2k before update. You always team up or face wih either too noob or too pro level 20 smurfs.
mines still unranked. i've calibrated 4500 flat, 4650, and 4200 in the past.
My main is 5.3

it doesnt affect unranked hidden mmr, it only affects calibration mmr.

an efficient booster can get from 3k to 5k in a week, no problem
