Not all animes with an ecchi tag are completely "ecchi". Some are really great like shokugeki and there is nothing wrong with a little bit of fanservice. Or else stick to shonen psychology mystery tags yo

Second yes you have seen some "clips" from shokugeki. But its not an anime you go watch for the ecchi tag. like what @K-かみ👑 said its really has a good plot. moreover its a fucking shonen anime

first of all the only reason people hate anime and anyone who watches anime is simply because they want to hate them.
no the reason is because its fans are creepily obsessed over teenage cartoon girls, with fucking weird oddly sexual shit centered around children swiftly transitioning to comedy or the main/side plot
or because they are often perceived as childlike, whether they actually are or arent im not here to debate
its similar to how people hate my little pony, because its for children but an oddly older fanbase exists which makes it seem extremely unusual
most people dont hate for no reason, they have an internal reason, whether factually correct or incorrect, for hating someone or something. whether it be anime, or people of a different race/sexuality, or a type of food.
Ecchi's is unique to animes, that's why some people watch them. But instead of saying they don't like ecchi so much people just say they hate animes, and in 100% of the case i'm pretty sure they've never seen an anime in their life and consider anime = ecchi.

i never understood whats the relationship between weebs and good animated films that are not quite anime imo, at least not what we usually call anime.
