think of morphling and the morphed target as 2 separate units you can switch between. if one takes damage that doesn't mean the other will.
spirit vessel and ice blast reduce/prevent healing effects and passive health regen, morph increases your max and current HP by the same amount so it is affected by spirit vessel, ice blast prevents hp from increasing in any way including increasing your max hp while spirit vessel does not.
