The reason why Dota is toxic is because people feel they can get away with it because they are sitting behind a computer 1000s of kilometres away. If they were sitting next to each other they would probably keep quiet. It's the same way when people get all tilted and honk when other people cut them off when they are driving. You wouldn't do that if someone jumped you in a queue at mac donald's.
