If you download a replay, you'll need a program like 7-zip to unextract it. After you extracted the file, place the *.dem file inside your replays folder in your dota steam folder and you can start the replay by going to that match (or by using the console and typing "playdemo replays/<matchid>.dem" )
What do you mean by 'going to that match'? I tried the console option but it displays 'unknown command'. Please clarify.
I guess you guys could sticky a topic about it, or put some info-box when ppl click on download replay.
Why do you want to download it from the site, and not Dota interface, while you can't watch without going through the same path in Dota as you need to go through to download replay?
You can use the feature for replay parsing, or to test if the replay is available without starting your dota 2.
AFTER you downloaded the replay, cut it and put it at "computer->c drive->steam->steamapps->common->dota 2 beta->dota->replays" and paste!
then you have to rename it, well not really rename but just backspace away the extra words and letter AFTER THE UNDERSCORE.
P.S. i swear people nowadays really don't like finding solution themselve, they just keep asking how and why
Thanks for this - game wasn't showing up in game history in-game kept saying No Results - so downloaded it from Dotabuff.
People usually ask because they don't know why - that's why they ask because they need someone to provide a solution - it's whether they bothered searching (which is how I got here ;))
Thanks btw!
"whereverYourSteamFolderIs\Steam\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\dota\replays"
btw thanks to all for advice
