Either people are muted, or people who have been muted now refrain from using it except for calling important stuff in game. People who are muted take it out on their team mates cause they are mad they got muted. Everyone hates each other. Everyone reports each other.
Lol I have 1300 games and have never been muted or low priority. I was just wondering what happened. I have a mic and used to be on it all the time, now I just leave it off because I would be the only person talking. (unless im grouped with friends)
I believe i got reported at least 2 times for sucking at this game, but i'm still not muted
I wasn't muted at all, until I 1v5 (2v5) my opposite team while my team fed hard (0-15 3 scores) and won the game. So they were so mad and I got muted.
Nope, just the childish nerd ragers. Most everyone is quiet unless they're playing with friends. Now that the ragers are muted you notice how quiet most pub games are because you don't have to deal with their temper tantrums filling your screen.
Last two weeks there was a bug with the report system and people had unlimited reports so many players got muted for no reason and most of those mutes probably haven't expired yet.
I have never been muted before but last week I got muted 3 times in a row (24h -> 48h -> 180h) because of tryharding even though I did not use the chat because anyone could report me.
They have fixed the bug in the latest update so things should be going back to normal.
well iunno, in most top mm games i see half the game muted usually. maybe in trash games nobody cares to mute others or something since they have hands full in trying to play their hero.

I got muted once, when?
After finishing a game (co-op), I called some decent player on my team (which is weird in co-op) a feeder, just for laughs, then got muted, I actually rofl'd
My mute is finished, I'm pretty sure some mad guy(kid) will report me for fun again.
I am muted for 160 hours. First time happened without a reason.
Second time happened while I was actively trash talking the opposite team for trash talking us after losing (resulted in a mute).
Third time I told one of my teammates that evolution has not been kind to his bloodline.
I am pretty sure nobody checks this system, and since there is no evidence that what you are doing is offensive I have no way to know what to change in my "ways"... Thus I have no reason to change my behaviour.
Ulteriorly, this system is a total disaster, the rehab is only making me more angry on my bad random teammates.

fuck this stupid mute system. I played with 4 stack and I was definitely mvp, i was trying to make them do something useful like pushes or gangs... so they reported me and I got 7 days of mute.
so my question is.... why the fuck do we need mute system when I can mute anyone directly in game?
Never listen to their trash talk and never talk back. Mute all other 9 players is a good idea ! Good people don't need you to tell them what to do, bad guys never listen.

This mute system is amazing. When you got muted, you can start to ruin any games without any punishment. Last week I was muted 168 hours, then I played like dumb idiot in the games. I stole and hid teammates stuff, intentional fed all lanes, supported foes wards and gem to kill my invisible teammates. Now game shows I only have 15 hours mute.
I absolutely love the mute system- it helped me discover communication skills I never knew I had. Got muted for another week so now I can improve at transmitting vital information to my team-mates using 3 pings and "Well played!".
Every game I seem to find between 3-6 players are muted. Its constant. And fucking terrible. Seriously, I don't give a shit about people flaming; at least most ragers also communicate to some extent. Seriously, this muting system is fucking atrocious.

It seems like that since the update last month dota matches have been very quiet. There is very little voice communication between teammates anymore and the use of the chat wheel has become very prevalent. Whats even more unsettling is the lack of gg's at the end of the match, which I used to almost always hear from 8-10 players.
So my question is, has everyone been getting muted?
