im not that dumb to open links that start with Obv phishing shit.

Your computer may have a keylogger/screenshot etc installed. No steam verification needed if on a verified computer.

Yea, don't worry, I get like 10 of those daily ._.
But a friend of mine fell for it not too long ago, he got his ID back, and steam returned his items too even though it took a week or 2..

It happened to me before.

Ull get ur account back. Create a new account in steam help section and make a complaint. Usually takes about a week. All trades and transactions will be blocked on the account so no worries.

The only safe way to open links is to make sure the page where u enter your user id and password is marked as green(trusted).

Don't you have steam guard enabled?

Anyway, about 2 months ago some random added me, asked me to play with him, but first to add his friend. Luckily, I got a popup that the link does not direct me to a steam site and when looked at link was something like ""steamcoMMUIty". Reported him, keep him in my friends list and pretended nothing happened, because I was curious if I can learn something from his scam attempts. But he deleted me few days later :(

I fell for a phishing scam last September, had no access to my account for two weeks and had all my items traded away. Steam support is super helpful, once they get round to you they'll sort out changing your account details and giving them to you through the ticket, as well as reversing your trade history up to the date where you made the ticket

yeah thats fucking retarded, i got a friend add myself too 2 days ago, checked his profile it said new account , 0 games, 0 friend etc.
After 24 hours the guy still had 0 games, i accepted and saw the same message you explained in the OP.
Insulted him (probably a bot..) and deleted everything + reported.

When you bump on Dota lounge, one or 2 bots add you instantly with this type of fake steam community URL.

That's why I don't accept anyone anymore, cos it's just a fucking lost of time.

GL sorry to hear that. Haven't had mine hacked since I had Half Life 2 (god is it like 10 years old now??? When is HL 3 coming out??? AND Dota2 uses the same game engine??? WHOA I'm off topic!)

I really was skeptical about even using the steam login through here on dotabuff to be honest. I don't use dota2lounge.com because I've heard of the same attacks. I had good reviews from personal friends at work and my old college friends about dotabuff so I decided to bite the bullet and risk it.

What I don't completely get is why you need to use your steam login for item selling, or logging to this site. Very odd.

My items are gone:/ all of them.... i just want my account back soon :D

Its not possible that ur items are gone. Once u change ur password/email all trading is blocked on that account for 15 days. Assuming u make a ticket on time u will get back ur account in a weeks time max. So items will be safe.

now all my inventory is empty..
