Well jungling for 40 minutes is not an ideal situation....
I would say play defensive, know that a 4v5 is practically impossible to win and that you are relying on your jungle/gold heavy character to win the game for you. That's the gamble when someone jungles for an extended period of time.
Also depending on the char. they play, are they relying on their late game to be counter pushing lanes or team fighting finally?
I think it falls heavily on what your jungler is playing, their goal then you can decide on what are good picks on 4v5.
