i believe both have a chance of activating, but whichever blocks more will override the 2nd block
or if the first fails, then the 2nd gets a chance.
Uhm i would say it would work like UAM, and the first one acquired would override the other. In the case of the poor man shield being acquired first, i think it would override the vanguard, whereas if you buy the vanguard first, the 20% chance it has for failing would be the chance for poor man shield to work. i'll test it.
Well i just tested it and whatever the scenario, it seems that Vanguard is given the priority, and should vanguard fail to block, poor man shield will work either 100% (if its a hero attack) or 60% (if its a creep).
Higher damage block item is given priority. If it fails, the next damage block item is tested and so on and so forth.

it works equally well to go double stout and salve (don't get tangos) but it can slow down early item progression which can hinder game impact.

Any impact you have for getting kills will be hindered by jungling past 10 mins and you will find yourself just being a meat shield initiator and not really having an effect on the game.
The 4 tangos allow you to sustain hp while farming, esp if theres bloodsekker on other side. By the time the 4 are used you should easily have ring of health money. And yes, i watch the close lane, if enemy has it pushed i wait for their creep wave and dive gaining the creep agro for helix procs.
double stout isnt necessary. Save the money from the extra stout get the tranq boots earlier. When jungling with tranquil, just make sure to drop it before clearing the camp and pick it up after clearing to get the hp regen
I don't believe in jungling until 6, ever. In fact I don't believe in jungling period. You can almost always accomplish more in lane than you can in the jungle.

I love playing Axe and if I jungle I go 2 x stout and tango. Once I get vanguard i usually sell the second stout so it doesn't override vanguard. What I am wondering is can you stack vanguard with poor mans.
For mellees:
Vanguard - 80% chance to block 40
PMS - 100% chance to block 20
If these can work together how do item priorities work in your inventory? To make sure vanguard rolls first, and if that 20% fail happens PMS kicks in.
