IT WAS FUCKING VALVES SERVER PROBLEMS HAHAHAHHAHAH YESSSS
It took me while but the issue is that the server registers you as not logged in so not able to reconnect.
There are multiple things you can try like rebooting (game, steam, PC) but there are no known fixes those sometimes releasing or flushing gets it back.

but im still pissed the game was safe to leave no stats recorded but it counted as a loss for me on DB...
