I get used to turn on my lastplayer thing and listen to some tag. Mostly, it's idm and some times trappy sheit.
Weeaboo stuff aside its whatever you want to listen to. A lot of people listen to metal, rock or really hectic electro. Music psychologically has an effect on you and some of the people I play with tend to play worse or very carelessly when listening to rock or metal as it....angers the blood.
Again down to preference but I find some slightly mellow electro or classical music does actually help me keep level headed and make smart decisions. Also I can hear people over teamspeak without the usual "can't hear you listening to music" thing.
....that being said I have been rather fond of Pegboard Nerds this last few months.

I know we already have a thread about our favorite music. But I think that sometimes even though we like music it affects our skill while playing. Maybe the songs you play that have lots of words and are pretty heavy (rap, rap, and rap) make your subconscious focus on hearing the words while playing. Thus making your thought process slow down by a little. I like to think that if you hear the music but don't register it, it's good for playing. I usually listen to calming music myself, but I would like to expand more.

Something like this is what I listen to, I think it's good for gaming since you can register it and enjoy it, but not focus on it too much.
