paypal is used i believe for people who dont like to directly share their card info.
Maybe in the future they will add more payment methods such as the paysafecard (www.paysafecard.com)
etc.
Who has a bank account for direct debit yet can't get a credit card? You can get a debit card from your bank and use it like a credit card.
Debit cards can be used to setup a paypal, you can even set a paypal up and have money put in manually by either your parents or buy paying into your paypal using a unique payment ID linked to your account.

Are you by any chance located in Germany? This is an issue we see with German Paypal... it requires a credit card to create the subscription. We added a link to make a one-time payment which should work if you just have money (from any source) on your paypal account. I completely understand how debit != credit cards for a lot of people. We're also looking into additional payment options beyond CC and Paypal. Thanks for the feedback.

I really dont get it. You can choose between Paypal or credit card, but either way u need a credit card. If u want to pay with pay pal u cant use the direct debiting scheme, u just can pay if u registered a credit card. Why do u need the paypal payment system if u just accept credit cards in it as well? I really want to have plus but without other payment methods its impossible for me and i think alot of other players to buy it. I really would appreciate it, if u could activate all payment methods in paypal like paying from my ec card, and not just paypal, or atleast just explain it to me, why u just allow credit card.
