reported in 2 different games = muted
first mute in 2 weeks = 1 day mute
second mute in 2 weeks = 2 day mute
third mute in 2 weeks = 1 week mute
4th+ mute in 2 weeks = 1 week mute
So that means, if i play 2 games in one day and get reported for both. I get muted for first one, then when that mute wears odd, i get muted for second one?
Also, does it ever resets, so that you dont get always 7 daya mute?
no, you get muted for 2 reports. if you get reported twice in 1 day, you will get 1 day mute, then you need 2 more reports to get muted again. it resets after 2 weeks no mute
Today I got muted after my first game since 8-9 days. I was making bad comments about my teamates who sucked.
If you read the dota 2 blog, you'll find that multiple reports in a single game are only treated as one report, the mute system looks for patterns over time, so having a communication report in a large % of your games will get you muted.
Being reported while you are already muted has no effect on you as well.

Firstly.
"[color=#affaff]Multiple people ganging up on you to report you in the same game has no effect on whether or not you are banned. We are looking at patterns of behavior over time only.[/color]"
Doesn't matter whether the people reporting are in a party or not. Multiple reports from the same game do not count.
And the next bit

I don't even know man. I had a 48 hour mute as well. When it ended I just played 2 games, and after those 2 games... BAM! 168 hour mute.
This makes no sense, some pub players hate me really hard and i flame sometimes, i never get muted i am pretty sure i have been reported for more than 2 players in one game.
By the other hand when i report someone 99 % of the times i get a notification saying that the guy was punished.
i only report for doing stupid stuff. idgf wtf you say when you are decent at the game. but when you suck and dont talk or talk shit ur getting reported
If someone sucks and dont talk WHY would you report him ? If the guy is bad at the game blame valve for putting him with you not the guy.
The report system is for things like trash talking, why would you report someone because he is bad at the game ?

So here is the deal. Last week i got punished with 2 days mute ( seems fair, i raged couple of times , had really rough week ). I got unmuted, and continued to play, only to find my self, rather using chat wheel, then talking to teammates. Since that unmute, i played around 10 games ( roughly ), didn't flamed ( yea, seems impossible, but i took advice ). Now i join game, and voila, i see that i am muted for 168. Seems NOT ok, but still, trying to figure it out, how did i managed to get reported in that 10 games where i was unmuted, in which, i repeat, mostly used chat wheel ( i play on shit pc, so sometimes my chat has delay, so it is useless ).
So next time , i get muted for how much? And how does that mute system works. What if you get into team with 3 stack, and they report you ( couse they can, right? ) for communication abuse, even if i didn't said a single harsh word ( noob don't count, right? ), so system will think that 3 players reported me for spamming, thus making my life miserable.
