dp worth banning sometimes ? i think. Not really a sure ban only if you cant afford to pick someone like a slardar to just pop that cherry

Imo, dp isn't worth first/second ban. She's useless if shut down early, and there are several heroes that can make this happen.

Usually, when I play cm as captain I make a push-based team, so dp is usually in my team or my third ban if there are better heroes for my lineup.

I just love rhasta, that guy is amazing.

I never play CM, but heroes that are almost always worth first banning are Invoker, Ember, Lycan and Dazzle. These are all overall quite strong and fit-into-any-line-up heroes. First pick material are generally the other strong heroes that don't get banned that often like AA, Visage, Luna and Mirana. Then you just follow up with heroes that fit your line up best and are also strong. This list is pretty long, but the most popular heroes lately are Nyx, Nature's Prophet, Shadow Shaman, DS and Chen. Other heroes are generally situational and depends on the team's own playstyle. Rox really like Slardar with a shit ton of healing while EG really likes DS-Treant combo.

i will either first ban or first pick lycan / np.
then weaver timber , either ban or pick.
For the carry i will pick spectre. i know spectre is so 2013 but I still in love with her.
the carry ban will be luna tb medusa naga.

I ban invoker and bristle still. Maybe bristle isn't that strong now idk. I also like to ban mirana if I don't pick her.

I try to pick shadow shaman then one of lich, veno or warlock for team fightyness. Carries and mid are situational counter picks. I like to balance my teams around team fighting and disables mostly.

I only pick AP and CM when I queue. CM isn't worth it, takes 30 minutes to pick, and most of the time the game is over within 10 minutes.

Never really pick captain, but if I did, I would probably just always ban the pushing or generally op heroes which include: ember, slark, natures prophet, death prophet, veno, shadow shaman, lycan. Give yourself a chance to not auto lose by cheeses.

always ban the balanced 4 word fire swordsman.

there is no 'set first ban' if you follow these MUST BAN EMBER/LYCAN first on every draft you will end up getting outdrafted every game. Doing a completely reactive draft will leave you will a overall weak draft. You see alot of top teams let overpowered heros like ember spirit through since their draft can deal with it.

Yeah, but the way OP make it sound is as if he is playing CM with random people. To be honest, when you have no idea who your people can play or the other team, the only thing you can do as a drafter is just react to the bans/picks of the other team and what you have.

If I get first pick I try to get bat mid. If they choose another mid that bat doesn't do well against I counter pick their mid on the last draft. Then everything else is just up to what I feel like picking. You guys should stop playing cm if you're only going to pick lycan/invoker/ember/nature's prophet every game.
