But as a support, you're lucky to get Aghs or Refresher. And one golem isn't enough to win the day. Your only CC is upheaval which leaves you very vulnerable to a stun to cancel the channeling.

You can't do shit in the lane because you don't have any lock down.

He requires a lot of positioning and levels, which means he's really situational. He works best with farm and levels which kind of shuts him out of the 5 role. Even as a 4 support, you really need to be able to have a presence in lane, which he lacks a stun or reliable slow.

In pubs, it's perhaps possible considering you can have more choice for vision or lane support stuff. However, he needs farm, and is better played in a core role imho.

The thing is he can support, but he can't be the only support, because most of his strenght lies in teamfights.

Moreover, his laning kind of sucks for a support and he can't even gank or zone out most offlaners unless they are terrible. I wouldn't recommend picking him as a hard support nor while soloqueueing. Pick him with heroes who can deal huge amounts of AoE damage, because Fatal Bonds hurt a bitch when they land with it and while making sure you've got a much stronger support for the early game.

^^^ Unfortunately he is part of my 10 hero challenge and I just can't find a game to play with him as a core. I'm trying to make it work as a support, but it sucks.

I feel like you have to call mid or feed if you have him.

Holy crap, a LC and a fucking Clockwerk with Hands of Midas, I really would have hated being Blunt in that match.

Fatal Bond = win lane such a good harrass tool. I would say skip fatal all together and as fast you have a golem use it as it were your hero, also its very effective to get jungle stack with the golem. Never ever use the golem on towers its bloody useless on towers you will just be wasting cooldown.
