I know Volvo isn't ACTUALLY punishing me for having a win streak, but it bloody well feels that way :P I've never been a believer in forced 50% (mainly because I get above it then drop below lol)
I've made it a rule that if I lose 2 games in a row in one day I just give up to prevent going tilt, but the want to play well and win still remains to undo this losing streak and bring me back to where I was, because the games aren't harder at 2.6K than they are here.
personally I think there's a large degree of luck with the players on your team, sometimes (if you don't end up with a full anonymous team) you find people with close to 50% winrate who play pretty damn well! but sometimes you end up with a teammate who has sub-46% winrate or even lower
(I know wr doesnt directly correlate to mmr but in this bracket it's a pretty good indicator of how good you are)
^in my games i never see anyone with a winrate greater than 52% and most of the times its below 50% or flat 50%.
1 more thing, play some of your legendary juggernaut, spam him 4 games and get 100 mmr, its what i do when i lose a lot, play slark (my go to hero).
Sunrise I would like to play juggernaut but I'd feel sad about how I traded away my legendary juggernaut sword for my faceless void battlefury ;_; it's probably quite noobish of me to pick based off cosmetics but I might play DK, been having a lot if success with him lately as he's a tanky frontliner who eats towers, and mine looks v nice
dk is pretty weak atm. He gets beaten by other carries, and has close to no farm speed. I advise you not to pick it cause he needs a little bit of farm to be relevant. But if you can carry with him go on

just pick another carry who can transition well into jungle + has decent laning stage. drow ranger is usually my go-to hero in these cases since with mask of madness she can push towers, powerfarm the jungle, and her laning is decent (not great but better than most carries)
if there's 1 bit of advice i'd give (if i was coaching someone in the 3k range and he told me he hates having these "4 carry + solo support" teams) is to pick another carry/semicarry and compete for cs. it's really good practice and you'll eventually be able to carry yourself to a higher rating.
i'm 100% serious, there's no point in supporting bad players, because you'll develop bad habits along the way. most of the 4k supports just sit behind me and leech exp. there's a lot of reasons for this, but i suspect one of the reasons is that when they were playing at 3k-4.5k, if they leave the carry alone for just 30 seconds he'll die to the solo offlaner, but that doesn't happen at 5k (or rarely does) so supports at 5k actually roam/try to establish map control. i cringe whenever someone tells new players to learn how to support, when support is probably the hardest role since u have limited time frame to make an impact on the match's outcome, and getting used to supporting scrubs lowers your own skill level.
you can't roam in 2k because no one will come with followup when you try to make a kill. Anyway i think im done with soloq for a while if not forever. It's just not for me, because it only brings rage and facepalms. I'm probably gonna stack or some shit but no more soloq.
@Romeo, ty for the advice, i kinda know that supporting low skill players is pointless, players who out of 1 creep wave can manage to last hit 1 creep, if i go pull they dive 1x1 on a higher level offlaner, if he has easy farm and i try to roam and gank mid he will say gg wp no support, and they want wards everywhere even when they are out of stock. every game i play i select slark, but i don't pick him, and i say i will pick slark, but this doesn't stop them from picking void, pa, spectre and last one will random. i guess i will start doing as i did a month ago, instalock slark and go mid without saying a word, this strategy brought me like 600 mmr.
i don't know probably i am low skilled 2 but at least i know roles, how to last hit in a free lane, and i know better than to random in ranked.
@Raspharus, if u sick of solo i will add u, maybe we will get 4k party :)
I've been stuck at 2K5 for a week or so. I don't think I can reach 3K soon. I play more normal pub game than ranked these days. Only play ranked when I'm in good mood.

How did you meet him in matchmaking anyway? Did you massively deflate your party rating or something?
I was queuing with people as low as 3.2k, he was queuing with people as high as 5.2k
if it helps to motivate you guys, I was at 4400 when ranked MM started.
just got 5k now. slow but steady.
