Evasion stacks multiplicatevly like this,
Total evasion percantage = [ 1 - (1 - first source of evasion) x (1 - second source of evasion) ... x (1 - n-source of evasion)] x 100
So [ 1 - ( 1 - 0.5 ) x ( 1 - 0.35 ) ] x 100
Lvl 4 evasion + Butterfly = 67.5%
It still can be worth stacking evasion though as even though they don't stack by adding, high amounts of evasion does insanely decrease physical damage, I would say it's worth it to do on heroes like pa when your against heroes with physical damage output but don't build mkb, or it would at least be incontinent for them too, such as, razor, spectre and od.
However, i think it is always okay to stack butterfys on heroes that mostly want it for the agility gain and the evasion is just a side bonus, such as, terrorblade and naga (since they are illusion base heroes (although i think its more damage efficient to go diffusal as a 6th item rather than a second butterfly on naga))
ugh, while you all are correct about how evasion is diminishing, none of you pointed out that stacking Butterflies gives exponential returns.
On a hero with 0 Evasion, a Butterfly increases the physical damage taken to kill the target by 1.538 times.
On PA, Blur increases the physical damage taken to kill her by 2 times. (1/0.5)
On PA with one Butterfly, the physical damage taken to kill her increases by 3.077 times (1/0.675), which is 2*1.538
In other words she gets the full benefits from the evasion of Butterfly because of how the benefits stack multiplicatively. Stacking Butterflies increases the effect of the previous one, which is why I get 3 Butterflies on TB - if I only wanted stats I would stack Eblades.
Still, sometimes isn't a good idea to buy Butterfly on PA. If the enemy team have half-brain, the carry is going to buy a MKB and rape her blurry ass.
Butterfly on PA is a great idea in 75% of cases. And 25% isn't for MKB.
butter evasion don't care about your current evasion
But countrary to armor, it doesn't increase your ehp lineary, it's always multiplicate your ehp by the same number (countrary to armor that just add the same ehp).
just think about a stream of 1 damage attack on a 100 hp target.
0% evasion
100hit => 100 damage
Butter (35%)
153.8 hit =>100 damage (+54 hit basically, or x1.54 hit)
Blur (50%)
200 hit => 100 damage
Blur + butter (67.5%)
308 hit => 100 damage (+108 hit, or x1.54hit basically)
-ofc i supposed that it exactly proced 35% of the time / 50% of the time / 67.5% of the time, starting with evasion first-
How do you get 444? ^ 444 * (1-0.675) != 100. Your EHP should increase by 1/(1-0.35) ~= 1.54 times your HP for each Butterfly regardless of your current evasion chance. This unless there is some other interaction that I do not know of.
444* 0.225 = 99.9
which mean, out of 444 hit i got hit 22.5% of the time
edit: i was also surprised by that result, i thought at first that it was increaseing lineary like armor
EDIT: OH FUCK, i missed a ten...
omg how could i make 100-67.5 = 22.5 instead of 32.5 ...
you guys are also not calculating the armor for how much ehp a butterfly gives you ;)

Since it stacks diminishingly I doubt she gets full 35%
so what does she actually get?
