there are simply a lot more smurfs. It's really hard to carry people who are literally 2k players.

Looks like the opposite to me, but maybe I just evolved more than I think

Speaking mathematically with the surge of new players 4k mmr should theoretically be slightly lower skill now than it was 12 months ago.

it was indeed easier when they introduced ranked... i still enjoy some games :p so gj with the ranked system (fuck smurfs and account buyers though)

There is a concept of ELO inflation. It is a slow, but consistent process. Considering the player base has risen in the aftermath of the International 4, and was gradually rising in the whole period since the introduction of rating it is no surprise that at any given level it is now harder to play than it was previously. That and smurfs)

I am unsure if what I am about to say has any truth to it, or if I am just talking out of my ass.

Getting better at the game doesn't cause your mmr to go up, getting better at a faster rate then is average for players at your mmr causes your mmr to increase. Therefor players at any mmr are more skilled then they were at any given time in the past.

I feel there is an ello hell at 4k. Go offlane mid feeds, go mid off-lane feeds. Fk these smurfs.

4k is full of smurfs and trash 2/3k players same with 5k smurfs piece of shit 3/4k players
