I'm 14k mmr let me mid

    What do u think?

I think the old is better, but if they do it there have to be some reason.

    sleave

well it balanced a bit the roshan thing because pros were claiming that dire has a natural advantage over roshan, and the metagame is around killing roshan, if i'm not wrong RTZ and Aui made public complaints about it

      Kryptnyt

        Bounty runes are strange
Crimson Guard will always make me think of Lefty Magoo

        Androgynous

"pros were claiming that dire has a natural advantage over roshan"

dire did and still will after 6.82 but now the dire's advantage is less and the radiant's has also been buffed.

dire currently has 4 access points to roshan (t1 and t2 mid and bot) while radiant has 2, or 3 at best (t1 mid, t2 bot and maybe t1 bot) while also being harder to ward against, because if you ward the secret shop / dire bot lane they can simply use middle lane anyway, and if they don't do rosh (e.g. because its a pub where rosh isnt abused) then the ward won't get much use. however if dire wards radiant jungle they can also scout out if radiant are roshing but even if they aren't, warding the enemy jungle is still really useful compared to wardhing dire secret shop + ancients.

plus how often do you see a ward placed between the dire tier 1 and tier 2 mid.

          • dire tier 1 bottom
currently there's no reason to go into rosh through the river because it's a choke point and you're more likely to get fucked over by going into that way, so people go around, past the ancients into rosh, where you may as well just use the tier 2 instead.

in 6.82 now there's more risk-reward to using dire tier 1 bottom because going into the river gets you to roshan much faster than going around which is safer.

even if you do take the safer route, the dire tier 1 bottom is still faster getting to roshan than if you were to go to the tier 2, so there's another reason to keep the tower. right now it's probably slower to tp to the tier 1 bottom unless you blink to the ancients, so there's not really any disadvantage to losing the dire tier 1 bottom in regards to rosh access.

if you lose it in 6.82 then you don't have instant blink access to rosh and it's by far the fastest way to get there. this imo is the biggest change especially in the current deathball meta where towers get taken very quickly, the offlane tower is normally a tower that tends to just be left to fall, but in 6.82 it's probably got the most importance of any outer tower

          • dire tier 2 bottom
route is slightly longer and also you're more easily spotted because you have to be in the river for longer, whereas right now you can almost be unspotted cos of the tree blocking the pit and the small ramp near the ancients being really close to rosh.

          • dire tier 1 and 2 mid
both are further away from rosh due to the pit location change, that they're almost equally as far away from their radiant counterparts and because dire has to be in the river for longer, they're basically not advantages anymore, only bot lane is.

          • radiant tier 1 + 2 bot
tier 1 is closer to the rosh pit than it is currently, tier 2 is slightly as well
also, the common ward spot which watches bot rune as well as the path to the radiant jungle is closer to rosh, making rosh easier to ward against for the radiant

          • radiant tier 1 mid
basically a straight line to the rosh pit just like dire tier 1 mid, nullifying the current advantage that dire has over radiant.
