And giving up all that $$$ they would have gotten in Diretide to bring out an update faster is very unlike Gaben...

I agree, it's very likely to be a port to Source 2. Don't really know what is going to improve with it though.

I'm talking about the one coming next year, the one Volvo themselves said was a BIG BIG update that will bring about revolutionary changes. Its big enough they didn't make Diretide to focus on it instead.
And Diretide gives Volvo big money.
