WHAT i could! I can kick a remnant in my previous game. the only thing bad is you can't pick early kills through grips :((

No he is not, remnant kicking is harder cause you have to be beside the remnant and he does not kick it when there are enemies no present. Some times It won't even kick. The pull on the allies are so slow. Don't say he is better than ever when you don't even play him. I know I'm only 3.6 k mmr. But this change has made it difficult to perform combos I used to. I used to roll while pulling stone then plant and kick. But for some reason it kicks enemy? maybe cause they are closer when I roll in I don't know but its ruined the combo. Who cares about the ags upgrade. The hero is ruined now. I think its time to start playing another game while they return to the old patch where everything seemed more balanced (apart from march of machines)
you had to be beside the remnant anyway, now you don't even have to position yourself relative to the remnant and instead just click on the ground in the direction you want to kick it, how the fuck is it harder?
Yeah but you don't select the remnant and that's my point do when I click on the ground it kicks the nearest object. My combo was roll while pulling then plant and kick. But because of the auto targeting it kicks the enemy hero even when the stone is there. Iv'e talked to several earth spirit players who I learnt off in 4-5k and they all agree that this change to his boulder smash is shit. oh and of course the geo grip. He already has the lowest win rate in the game and I agree was op in 6.81. but this patch fucked the hero over almost to the point he is a completely obsolete pick. just awful. GIVE ME MY FUCKING OLD EARTH SPIRIT BACK.
How do you play him now? what is a new combo for 6.82 (the worst patch dota ever released - apart from that one with centaur warrunner lol)
it only kicks stones if you dont click on a unit, if you click on a unit it kicks that unit
click floor = kick stone (if nearby)
click unit = same as before

no man, There is a limited range with the stone kicking. Try it. Be a few metres away from the stone and try to select to kick it. He just stands there and does nothing. YOU HAVE TO BE RIGHT FUCKING BESIDE IT FOR THE KICK OT EVEN REGISTER
I don't know yet... you can still roll place a boulder and click away to stun the guy but in a 5v5 it might be too chaotic for that... I don't have the patience to play a couple of game. My last one was too frustrating ( it's the one I learned you couldnt click the boulder ) . What icefrog did was make it easier to land your stun when you do it from far. Just keep playing him like you used to and get used to the stun. That's what's going to be hard since we're used to click the rock.

Well I think they may patch earth spirit again and restore boulder smash to the way it was. I'm honestly rating it the most useless ability in the current patch until someone actually finds a use for it. I used to prefer positioning myself to kick the stone in a certain direction. They just destroyed it!
It is easier to aim the boulder now, you just have to get used to. People will eventually learn how hard es is and will stop crying op at every move he does

you always had to be close to a stone if you wanted to kick it though. altering the position of your hero in order to alter the direction of the remnant was much more difficult. with the requirement of having to be close to the stone, even the smallest of movements would send your remnant moving in completely the wrong direction.
plus with the change now the game knows 100% whether you want to kick a unit or kick a remnant instead. whereas previously if you were trying to kick a unit that was on top of a remnant, how would the game know whether you wanted to kick the unit or the remnant?
