my friend (1.8k mmr no joke) got a very high skill game, and his stack was ranked even lower than him. How does this happen?

I have no idea but the only answer I can think of is SWAG.

it means nothing, it could be wrong as right. I had a high skill match eating a breakfast with my left hand, and a none skill match doing my best apm and map awarrness, so means nothing bro but keep it up!

^ Uuhh...it means the average MMR of the players involved in the match(3700+ MMR for very high). Of course it's not going to detect whether you are actually playing well or if you suddenly decided to fool around, it's not going to place you in Normal Skillbracket because you suddenly decided to play by clicking your skills instead of using hotkeys.

In this guy's case it means he's stepping up his game and climbing in MMR.

How do you know it was 5.5K bracket? When I look at other peoples profile in that game it shows plenty of 'High skill' games and even 'Normal' games so I'd recon that was 4K mmr bracket.

i assume it was , last few weeks ive played on 3k acc , 4.5k and on my main 5800 , and that was clearly a good skill
