an early bkb is more situational and may even lose you the game if you use the charges too fast, you just need to know when is the right time to use it.
theres nothing wrong with getting bots early or often if you actually utilise them but you sell your other boots way too often when the stats that they give are still incredibly useful. if you're getting travels early i.e. before you're 6-slotted then they are for replacing your tp scrolls, not your upgraded boots. if you don't need to sell your treads / phase / whatever, why bother? you're still getting useful stats from them.

like lets say in this qop game
you'd have more HP if you had treads + ogre club as opposed to hammer + ogre club
and because it's late game and qop also got her BAT improved you'd be better off for dps with the 30 attack speed than the 24 extra damage.
in that game it probably didn't make a difference but that doesnt mean it didn't make a difference in another game
