Invoker is one of the most versatile heroes, it would be stupid to think that there is a most suited build. Just adapt to whatever you need every game.

invoker really is not versatile at all

hero can only be played as a 2 sometimes 1

has to be in a safe farming lane

i mean you could go qw and phase orchid or necro3 force or blink force but thats nowhere near as versatile as windranger, wraith king, mirana, and so on

4-4 and Eul always works for me and so far the best

Dunno it really depends on the game, but I prefer exort, because you can push, solo kill, make chaos in team fights, but you need alot of levels with it.

exort is best build, wex is ganking build.

There is no such thing as best build for every game
"Suited" is not the word you are looking for.
"Reliable" might be a better word for this scenario.

If you are unsure what to build, go exort at level, then 4-1-4 with Urn + Snap
Never start with quas against heroes like SF, TA, and BS. If you do, they will free farm like mad.

You can either go as semi-carry. Get a damage items build. Most of the time, in late game when the enemy team grab the BKB, you can't do nothing with your spells. You'll would probably stand there without a hint.Your team expecting you to throw your spells. I would recommend using the alacrity spell with crystals into daedalus and BKB for your survival-ability. Expectation suited skills in formation, Q1-W3-E5-R1, alacrity+coldsnap+sunstrike or alacrity+metero+cold snap. Free feels to look at my Invoker matches.

Teamfight built (Wex Quas) : Good against any mana dependent hero
Solo built (Exort Quas) : Good on nuking enemy 1 vs 1
But its dependant on team lineup also
