General DiscussionWho invented doom and void?

I think it was Guinsoo, but I'd need confirmation. But hey, you should be questioning why Icefrog invented Earth Spirit, Oracle and Arc Warden (fuck him).

Earth spirit reminds me of how LoL heroes are set up with the 5th skill management :/

in lol every hero has like 50 skills and you can kill heroes with any skill.

Zano, you are particulary right. Guinsoo made doom, void was added later , after Icefrog took over, if i recall correctly.

I think if void and doom were removed from the game, and 6.82 bounty changes were reversed, dota would actually be playable and fun again.

me too, was so good, i spammed it a lot

doom was pitlords ultimate in wc3 reign of chaos (or at leat a version of pitlord) and it spawned a doom guard when it killed the doomed target (doom guard had the same model as doom in wc3 dota)

speaking of pitlord i dont think i know what that hero does anymore

What pisses me off often is when I play some support semi-support hero ( like, any not extremely late game carry), and see that void or pa are really lowskilled players but after they get couple of items I'm like creep to them

^^ Now that fire is not channelled and doesn't damage buildings, so it's like it was originally. Also, he doesn't have expulsion anymore and instead has an aura that decreases the base damage of enemies around him and gives him extra damage (+5 per creep and +30 per hero I think) when they die.

The only thing I don't like about void is how good he can be in the mid game. I'm fine with him being the late game monster that he is but he is just as good as many semi carries on the mid game which doesn't make sense

Doom's win rate is down to 45%. Does anyone really fear him anymore? The doom damage seems so pathetic now, just run away and live every time.
