General DiscussionTips for drafting?

+Don't focus too much on counterpicking.
+Always have a set strategy in mind so your first 2 bans make sense instead of you just banning 2 meta heroes.
+Ask your team what they play then build a lineup around that. Otherwise you'll have a very angry team when you pick that Chen/Visage.
+Late game > early game lineups because uncoordinated teams don't know how to punish. Don't be too greedy though.

-Never force people to play heroes. They might throw or have no idea how to use it.
-Never focus too much on a single aspect; wombo combo or whatever

^+watch some streams and broadcasted pro games, its very helpful, you not only learn the current meta, but also the way heroes may be used and interact with each other.

Try watching pdd's draft analysis videos. They give an idea of how a captain likes to draft.

I think the most general mistake people do is pick only the most popular meta heroes without thinking if your team can play them well. Like wisp + tiny is a really strong and popular draft combo, but if you don't have a good wisp player or two players who can synergize together, it can end up pretty bad sometimes.

Also, if there are certain heroes that you know your team struggles against generally (even if counterpicked), just ban them. Even if it's an omni ban.
