most accurate pattern of a typical russian 1k schoolkid:
step 1: instalock lc/other snowballing easy heroes
step 2: go offlane and autoattack creeps
step 3: hope that enemies are feeding you
step 4: snowball 43/2/3
step 5: ????777 (russian keyboard)
step 6: Profit сука

Counterpicks to lc are omni, dazzle, io, venge and anybody who can reaaaaally screw up her duels in a fight, or who she can't ever win duels against without much help/preparation (tiny, abaddon, etc)
She is a counterpick to heroes who blink around and escape, to splitpushers, to squishy supports in general and glass canon carries. She's actually great against many heroes right now, she wrecks ember pretty much, lina's done for, doom's animation can be cancelled pretty easily, slark kills himself on blademail, etc. Just pick her and try around.

The pub stomping build I go for is actually pretty easy to punish at higher levels, but at lower levels you'll get away with it because people are retards and can't build BKBs for shit. So basically, you get brown boots, then blink, then blademail, and then decide what boots you want to finish. If you're up against heavy splitpushers like brood (she EATS brood because of spiders) or NP (he builds to hit hard but is squishy as fuck) you'll get tons of damage because they are often solo and easy duel targets, and should go for travels. After blademail if you're in potato bracket you can get away with mom + heart, if you're playing a bit higher go for ac bkb halberd basher/abyssal, and pretty much any combination of those depending on the game. Armlet is ok but she has slot problems so I don't recommend it, if you're leading, armlet is shooting yourself in the foot because it takes an item slot and does not provide as much as ac or heart or bkb.

Also, spend a good chunk of your game farming the enemy jungle and fuck up anybody who comes in. If your supports won't ward the enemy jungle eat it up and do it yourself.

Starting items should be like:
Jungle: tangos stout quelling blade
Mid: stout tangos and get bottle asap
Solo sidelane: tangos salve stout soul ring recipe
Dual sidelane: tangos salve rop

After you get those, in jungle either rush midas, or boots + blink, in solo sidelane finish your soul ring as soon as possible and spam the shit out of people with it. What you should do is basically cast OO on as many creeps and heroes as possible, get some last hits with it, and then rush in to collect additional last hits with your 450+ movement speed, if you're against melees this is pretty easy, but sometimes people will get scared when you halve thier HP with 100 mana so they will back off too. But if you're in a dual sidelane, which kinda sucks for you, you should get a basilius and try to focus on farming more, so getting stout basilius quelling blade makes sense.

How to survive ganks? Well, the thing with LC is, she has a purge to remove slows and other soft disables and also has a spell that makes her run like racecar the more people there are that she can throw it on so she can survive many ganks like that. Hard disables will fuck you as you actually have pretty shitty armor and agi gain, so you should build to compensate. If everyone is at low health and they are all attacking you, never run if they'll be able to attack for a while and you're really low, always attack back so you can get lifesteal procs, your chances will mostly be greater this way, and you might turn a 3 man gank into a double kill like a bristleback would do (but it's still less likely). For this to work you need some levels in MoC.

How to gank with lc? It pretty much has to do with fog abuse and lonely heroes - know where everyone is, and if the guy you see pushing your safelane is lonely, just go PTA, blink onto his head, you should be able to burst down supports in 4 seconds, and carries if you have blademail.

At lower brackets, the greatest problem with lc is actually getting a solo lane and fast levels, and sometimes a lane at all, you'll be forced to the jungle way too often. But that shouldn't impair your murdering capabilities that much as people are retarded anyway, it'll just slow everything down and make it a bit harder for you. Even in jungle you can go the best 4 1 1 1 build at level 7 if you don't get to many centaurs.

Also, as for situational items, battlefury is actually a pretty good item for her once she gets some damage, as it means that you duelling somebody in a fight also zones enemies out in a medium-sized area unless they too really want to die. It also helps you push waves really quickly, and she's actual an excellent pusher once she gets half her divine. With bots and battlefury (and tons of stacked up duel damage) you can actually push really well after a won fight.

The only thing I dislike about that^ guide is that it does not focus on importance of BoTs more. BoTs are absolutely broken on this hero if you're not far behind, if you play it smart you can collect duels all over the map.
