What's wrong with chinesse Scene? They have a lot of good players/teams but lately they're playng inconsistently
I have been disappointed by VG, LGD, and EHOME in shangai. I expected a bit more from them.

    Kratos..!

They are all getting old.. LGD, RotK is a definite weak link.. EHome I'm not sure..they played really well..not sure why they fell off.. I read somewhere that OldEleven had a tooth surgery..maybe because of that.. VG..again they all are getting old.. Iceiceice Burning.. These people should just stop playing..

But the diference is really huge in comparison the lattest years. I love the chinesse style but they made a lot of mistakes against weak teams

Chinese pro scene is plagued with lobbying and politics of veteran and seasoned players along with big name team management.

If you are asking why we don't see young players being given a chance as we see in West with Miracle, W33, iceberg, etc., is because young players are already acquired by these big teams and are played in their B-teams and mentored there e.g. CDEC.Younth, Vici Gaming Potential, and many squads of Newbee.

+ when young players are given a chance, they do not take that opportunity seriously and seize the day. E.g. June was given a chance but didn't fulfil the expectations at bigger platform.

Hence, teams do not take risks. You have to be really good to succeed and meet huge expectations of the management e.g. Kaka.

+ Team management favour their favourites. E.g. Ruru (at Ehome) likes Old Chicken. Rumours are both are in a relationship. Same thing happened at Vici with fy and her gf in management.

Out of 5 ti Grand Final, there has been a Chinese team in it barring ti3 (Na'Vi vs Alliance) but then TI4 was all Chinese grand finals (Vici vs Newbee).

+ Only motivation the Chinese players truly feel, is about winning The International. This is why you will see big players coming together to have a go at ti and win it all when ti is 2-3 months away. Big God, DK was experiment in line of that.

You will also notice Xiao8 coming back from retirement near ti and give it all. It's happened before, he made all star team with Hao, Mu in Newbee and won it all. Rest of the years, he streams to understand patches and remain in touch.

But in recent times, with the introduction of Majors, players have started taking tournaments outside ti seriously.

Overall, Chinese scene is not going anywhere, they will always be around and close to winning bigger tourneys and will win some here and there. They are fine. It's just their huge name players have set the bar so high, that newcomers can't meet those expectations. There can't be other Burning, Fy, Zsmj, Hao, Cty, Sylar, Chuan, Ferrari, etc. But, that's why they made B-squads so they could mentor new blood.

They will be back again. Only need to sort few things within their management of the teams.

TI5 finales were full of chinese teams, LGD was my favourite, IMO the strongest chinese lineup in TI5, and maybe even better than EG and Secret. but unfortunally they lost against CDEC in upper bracket, and against EG in lower bracket.
