I've had my mmr calibrated for a year.
Its not cool how Valve makes you work super hard for your MMR then they take away 50 for a loss. Fuck that shit.
This can only happen if the average MMR of both teams is very different from each other... and the lower team wins.
You could argue that the matchmaking system should not start a match with such a difference, regardless of the queue time.
I would disagree, since this example actually shows that the match is still winnable for the lower team and you should be able to play games even at unusual time/server/population constellations.
@socram the thing is at the end of the match it says -25 mmr, on my recent matches it says -25 mmr, but my mmr still dropped by 50.
Well this would either be a bug or you overlooked something.
Sometimes the MMR doesn't get updated in the client or API because of too much load on the server. When it gets back to normal, bigger MMR jumps can happen - those are always traceable, though.
If it happens again I will google valves number and tell them I want my fuckin mmr back or I will boycott
it happens when the av mmr on ur team was way to higher than the other team, if the other team would have lost they even MIGHT have win +5 mmr.
The MMR average was equal, and when I lost the system said -25 MMR but it took -50 MMR.
There is no indication of me losing 50 MMR , it says -25.
I just checked the forums, the bug is reported, it hasn't been confirmed by Valve staff but the thread has been there for ages and no one gives a shit.
