Hit the creep when it has low enough hp
Depends on your damage tho
If 60dmg, check hp aft 2 hits, if more than 350hp, hit once before last hit.
If 70, threshold becomes 360, if 50, becomes 340 etc
Best if ur dmg spread is low
Rule of thumb for melee creep: If the creep is full or has close to full HP, hit it once and let the tower hit it five times. Then pick up the last hit. If the creep has enough HP missing so that it's not close to full HP, let the tower hit the creep down first to the hit closest to 250 HP and then assess situation. If you can bring it down to the next 100 level (for instance, from 250 -> 190) with one attack, let the tower hit it twice before last hitting. If you cannot bring it down to the next 100 level with one attack, attack it once and let the tower hit it twice before last hitting

mostly takes practice, you just kind of get a feel for it. t1 towers do 100-120 dmg and melee creeps have 550 hp and 2 armor. Ranged creeps are 300 hp and 0 armor so they always die in 3 hits, and you usually have to hit them once, let tower hit twice then hit once for the cs. Sometimes if you do like 60 dmg the tower will hit twice for 120 each and it'll actually die, so again, timing, check your base dmg and if you have a quelling blade etc.
Practice makes perfect. Sometimes hitting the creeps once before you last hit will give you the last hitting edge.
