i heard stories of people going from 3k ranked to 4.5k averages, would be pretty shit if the same worked for 5-6k
indeed, it will cause a shitfest, but those ones who are actually 5-6k, will benefit from that (higher chance - 5/9 - to get retards in the other team than in yours)
well following that logic everybody would benefit since 3ks who get 4k would lose against a real 4k as well
maybe, but only after 40 matches after calibration you can replace the "new mmr" to the "old mmr".
We are analyzing this today! i'll let you guys know! ill try stacking with 4,5,6,7ks and se what happens.
can anyone tell me why I keep getting recalibrated lower and lower despite winning games?
last game i had 2 people with 3.5k...... and we were against a 6.5k player that soloqued..........
So ye basically..... its fucked. and you can get 4.7 with 60% winrate. (first 10 games)
So probably you can get about 5.5k. (30 more games)
and ye you get lower avarage. and Avarage dosnt show true mmr.
Also the TBD swaps places. (meaning the "highest" isnt the highest"
So if you can calibrate to 5K now, then 6K is now the new 2K, especially since Miracle hit 9K. Kappa
normally its not 5k cap its 4.6k just becuase waga bugged it once dosnt mean its 5k. for most 6k players that get 99% winrate they get 4.6
People don't seem to fully get what the International ranked queue is.
Yes you can re calibrate, but after ten games, you still have to play another 30 games to be able to replace your mmr.
The good thing about it is you only play with compendium owners, in theory that means you aren't playing with smurfs or casuals.
Sing calibrated at 4.6k though (party). I played both solo and party. Party games are ridicilously easy, I'm sure solo would be easy too but I wasn't playing a core. You have to play with 4k and even after winning the average MMR just drops. It's like Valve expects you to perform INSANELY well against 4ks or they will drop your MMR even if you win. It's stupid honestly, I don't know who came up with this idea.
Yea, that was a very good fairytale. Had an epic ending for 3 8 0 0 m a t c h m a k i n g p o i n t s aswell
I dont think its possible to recalibrate higher than your real mmr unless you realy play MUCH better than you real mmr is.
Is 3.1k average mmr ok? I still have more 8 games to calibrate. What do you think?
Even if you see a TBD person in game where average MMR is higher than 5k, it means nothing. This could always happen. But after final calibration match they are placed in MMR below 5k. Come on boys. Where is your logic?
You can NOT calibrate over 5k world top 1 is 4.9k at this moment so 4k is new 6k xDDD
most of the ppl on leaderboard are around 5k solo
so it basically works exactly the same like the normal calibration
so not worth for anyone above 4k
nah, if pros ever start playing it, 4k in seasonal means whole different world than 4k in normal ranked
It doesn't make sense to work as it used to be, why would they cap MMR.
Unless this is made for delusional 2ks and 3ks to get 4k and ruin games, which they won't get anyways, so we're gucci
It will actually boost people. Because since you can decline to change your MMR it will inevitably only increase the average since only the ones with a higher MMR than their original will keep it.

i was wondering wether the recalibration has any effect for people with 5k+ since the normal calibration basically caps out at 5k
