Dag and force is good, but greaves? i would rather go tranquil boots
slardar support can work if he goes roaming, but there are better roaming supports right now, so better go off

@CowChop it wouldn't be bad if you have a roaming mana (arcane) and health (urn) on your team he's like a walking fountain

yeah, i guess, thing is still need to farm dag though, other roamers have tools already to initiate, bh/riki(invi) pudge(hook) mirana(arrow)
but slardar can work as 4th, just not the best

I dont go greaves on him cause the other supp usually gets mek when i have dagger and force staff. I dont think sladar's that good as a full on supp but better as a roaming supp like riki.

i go off with blink-force but never greaves

the reason for this is because tranquils synergizes well with slardar sprint and greaves costs shitton of gold to make (arcanes --> blink on off slardar is suboptimal since mana boot costs twice as much as tranqs and we know this hero wont farm fast esp on 3 pos)

also if youre playing off slardar greaves kind of... contradict slardar's playstyle

also slard supp is kinda hard to pull off

The issue is you desperately need blink ASAP as slardar, you can't really afford to buy mek beforehand especially if you aren't a core role or you won't have a good blink timing. After blink mek will come too late to be as effective as other items such as force staff.

well... i do octarine core on him too it works perfectly fine for me

why get oc

you dont get too much out of spell vamp since youre a team enabler rather than the main damage dealer + your spells alr have a low cd

i'd pretty much prefer utility + some survivability items like ac and bkb that i can benefit from more than OC which, for a hero like slardar, pretty much only offers hp and mana

-Unli Sprint
-6 sec stun (cd)
-3.75 sec ultimate
-9 sec dagger
-15 sec force staff (10.5 if Pike)
-30 sec Greaves (28 sec buff)
and why not? it's like 2 roles in 1 hero tank and support

mek should never be gotten on a support unless your position 4 and rolling in gold

instead of gg u can get a whole bkb and tranquils/pt
or a shadow blade plus boots

gg is a waste of money

yeah

then you realize slardar cant farm shit unless given a 1 role

and when in a 1 role you wont be buying oc anyway
