I read it before, honestly he lives in US which is alot easier compared to SEA. Yea I agree its quite a nice read
if u have some connections then prob yes
tho if ur purely an mmr player then i guess u do need 7k
Its hard to find teammates here to play open qualifiers that are as committed and at least 5k5+. Mostly have team already or something. Any Malaysian players wanna team up ?
@САНЯ КУПОРОС yea demon is 5k9 or something haha but he actually has alot of experience in pro dota
Owh u from MY nc me too
Join some Malaysian doto fb group,i see some post about 6k team searching for blabla u can try there
If you're a core player I feel like 7k is a minimum requirement, it's less if you intend to play support but in either case you need to develop some connections through skill or networking if you want to make it.
You can try go Orange's office, they have a team
Or keep go higher memer you will meet pro and ask them there
i think when it came to pro scene, what dendi said applied here.
MMR is just a number
i think above 6k what matter is in depth knowledge, how is your play style, how good you know the hero you are using, what level you are playing the hero.
just my opinion tho
never been in 6k
odds are low.
i dont think ive seen a pro mid player that didnt have 7k+
but thats ignoring the bigger problem of knowing the right people to get onto a team
worth a try though, gl
yeah reaching 7k or 8k and go stream might help you get money.
my statement is referring to must i hit 7k to at least have a tiny chance
I feel like anybody that needs to ask what it takes to go pro, or how likely they can become pro, doesn't have what it takes to go pro.
I think being pro is about wanting to be the best and continuously trying to do so and I think every "pubstar" turned pro has been doing that and people just picked up on it.
So I guess I'm saying: Just keep going and people will recognize you for your skill if you're good enough.
This guy just hit leaderboards and I see no acknowledgements man damn!
Congrats on hitting SEA leaderboards fam!
- Find/Make a team.
- Play together more than 5h/day.
- Play tournaments.
- Lose.
- Team disband
- Go back pubs and cry in the corner with you 7k account.
If you have a friend who is arteezy and he want to make a team then he ask you to be his mid player and you win mid vs miracle. Then yes you go to pro scene
Close to zero. You either make friends with some of the pros and beg them to let you in or get 9K mmr to go pro in dota
I came from sea too comrade, but I only a 2k mmr who crawl my ass from 1k over the past year and now I am strugglin with internet problem, only play doto for a year, played dota 1 for about 5 months lol, ever since I found it that playin dota is just the same thing as playin football, you always gotta crawl from the bottom, I have some kind of dream of goin pro, I got no link and my friend are mostly play for fun and had no thoughts of going to pro scene. Now I am crawlin my ass again to 3k, when will I get to 7k? I mean I know this question is dumb, but I wanna know, if its gonna be like 3 years, I'm gonna be super serious right now, no matter what. I just wanna hear your own stories of climbing the mmr leaderboard.
Pro should watch 3K also, our friend strongmind make a post about someone call rentaless or something said he know DOTA then all other players
Kappa
^^TIp : don't use ugly PP or your IQ will get lowered, U know what this cool lich-king king PP do to my memer?
It magic me up 900memer in mth
Why do you ask? You think there's a magic trick to get there? Just play and focus on improving, and when you feel you're doing good woth / against pros in rmm, i'm sure chances will appear. I'm just a 5k scrub but i trying to get there, mindset is 60% of the sork btw.
2ks are hard man, the most stubborn peoples I have ever met in my life. I know I sound like the guy who thinks they are better than 2ks but yet they are 2k theirselves, but this is actually true, thats why I sometime lost my focus and interest to the game, taking a deep breath and continuing my 2k journey.
@blessed warrior
You can start by not party memeing with your friend too much
Tbh I stopped playing party games with my IRL friends because it feels like the same shit everytime
Everyone picks what they want
Everyone flames each other
Everything is sloppy
One bad thing happened suddenly it's a fingerpointing fest
Competitiveness is near to none
Support is the "noob"
Doesn't feel like how DOTA2 is supposed to be played
im pretty sure it's impossible to go from 1k to 7k in a meaningful time
for you to start in 1k or less you really need to be slow at learning
like really slow
you won't have much chance of getting 7k because of the shear amount of knowledge required.
unless you pay a dedicated coach or you suddenly gain a couple billion brain cells out of no where, you don't get much of a chance

Does anyone know my chances of going pro or does anyone have a story to share or must i hit 7k to at least have a tiny chance
