You can never go wrong with First pick support Ogre.
His hit is soo good. Trades hits good, get an early OOV and watch people cry.
Great starting armor ,regen, spells are all decent and literally can fit in anyline up.
Can semi carry eventually with aghs, but prioritze force glimmer, etc.
Blood lust towers/ carry.
Talents are all decent, esp getting that gold gain so early. Tanky so he doesn't get blown up as easily as some other supports mentioned above.
All around. Once saw a DB article on how Venge should be considered the "perfect support" because she buffs allies, can weaken enemies (-armor) has a reliable stun, a great save ability.
Perfect could mean fits into most lineups (versatility) with most purpose? Broad question I guess. Don't overthink it :)
correct, Venge support is never a bad thing like you mentioned, The kit and hero design are solid.

FOR NOOB VS BUT IF YOU GOOD AT DOTA RUBICK IS BETTER
Crystal Maiden
- Gives you awesome mana regen
- Slows the enemy with the Crystal Nova
- Can root your enemy so you can do some slicin' n' dicin'
- 10 second ultimate with huge amount of DPS if it hits the bad guys
- Dances around in a circle
- Can make snow angels from grass
- Has a puppy and couriers
- Many hairstyles to choose from
- My "waifu"
Venge isn't a super versatile support imo, she needs a partner with stuns or high early-game DPS; she's not great at passive play.
Basically anything works so long as you have a plan for when you feed or the lane is passive.
I play Treant Protector at 2k mmr, he's a great jack-of-all trades with good farm, invisibility, chain-stuns with 0 items, bkb piercing blink-stuns, global 500 damage shield, pseudo-ravage, tons of vision, decent damage, decent mobility, high hp, high mana; what doesn't this hero have? Melee support, and a little countered by BKB/manta/dust, but hey, it's 2k.
For me it's CM pretty much viable can solo support every time have slow and root, get urn and you'll have something to heal for your allies can roam early till late nice tallent tree which helps a lot. with glimmer, dag, euls or fs you can pretty much escape the enemy ganking you any item would be good as long it suites the needs of the team pretty much the perfect support you mentioned
i think wr is good supp, she can push, disable, nuke, and escape in thats skill, and if u need to more carry wr can doing as well
It seems Earth spirit is the most effective support in DOTES Especially if pros do it, and I mean if you look at it on paper ESpirit has a stun, slow, silence and DPS, he has a superior support kit and it just happens that not everyone can really play ESpirit.
good earth spirits are great but its pretty rare to see them have that super high impact
Once venge hits 25(if the game lasts that long) the whole team is on steroids, coupled with a l25 Mirana leap and the towers melt like butter. I think if you can fit these 2 heroes into a lineup(the laning stage should be secure with a stun into arrow) the game is pretty easily won if nobody throws
3x arrows so good
i remember when it came out and people were saying it sucked
like wtf u land one side arrow and its worth gold, and its pretty common + they give vision and make people dodge and kill creep camps etc etc
Literally had a game where Godz landed a triple arrow on all three cores, after that I'm never going to go leap talent.
You can never go wrong with first pick slardar.
8 sec retarded AOE stun
Mobility
Tankiness
Retarded -armor
All you have to do is blink stun then ss
You cannot get punish that bad if your init is bad (bcs you just spent 8 sec and 5 sec cd skill and most of the time you can run with force staff + sprint)
You can never go wrong with First pick support Ogre.
Correct. Also, rubick is also flexible as ogre but in a different way.
Leap talent is very goodthough it 100 attack speed almost a moonshard(120attack speed) good for sieging but i think the arrow one is better in most cases

Vengeful Spirit, Slardar or Ogre?
Does Lich fit in there? Or Kotl?
