I think he is good, I used to play him as carry a lot before 7.0, whenever the patch was that buffed dragon's blood. But he farms incredibly slow so you can't play him like a normal safe lane carry, you have to instead be active and really push objectives hard. If your team isn't into that it can be rough. You use the lane phase to pickup some levels to get ultimate and farm your first couple items, then go take all the t1s or gank.
However if you are good at mid, that's still a more natural lane for him since you want a quick level 6.
You have 1 DK game out of your last 20+...seems a bit too much with the "everytime i pick"
You can do very well solo with 1/2 lvls of dragoblood which is what sometimes i get
*Then 2 breath, 1 stun, ult
He can be a decent carry and viable both mid and safelane (my games shouldn't be indication, as I pick him usually when I feel like our team's draft is already stupid), but only in a team with a generally high damage output aside from you. His laning is pretty easy, not very prone to ganks and even have some nice utility in fights.
And yeah Silver Edge really is too painful against him.
Dk can play around break.

He was mainly played to complement drow strats as a tanker and frontliner in the drow era around ti6.
Yeah, also Drow's aura can make him a viable hard carry, it gives him the much needed damage boost to complete him as one.
radiance is a terrible idea, he needs to get cheap buildup items to rule the mid game and gain stats quickly cus he farms to poorly. I think treads, aquila maybe, dragon lance, armlet, s&y, ac, skadi/heart. If you want to farm more you throw maelstrom in there after lance.
oh and blink and silver edge can be quite good on him as a ganker/initiator, forgot to put those in.

I'm a support player and every time i pick dragon knight carry i own the enemy team. Maybe luck? It ends up being impossible to kill with the 2xDragon blood -talent , and the +9 str is also really good for his early.
