go to a lobby and train, that's the easiest and most effective way to train mechanics, here's my list of challenges i'd recommend to do all of them:
easy ones:
1. 10 min- no creeps missed (82+ lasthits minimum)
2. 10 min- 80 lh/40 deny safelane, creeps can't enter either team's tower. if they do you reset
3. 10 min- 100 LH safelane
4. 30 min- 600 LH
5. less than 15 min- end the game(destroy enemy ancient)
advanced ones:
1. 11 min- 120 LH
2. 30 min- 750 LH
3. 10 min- 100 CS+(LH+DN counts) as morphling -> lvl 1 strenght morph and never level anything again, turn it on and don't turn it off. buy a set of tangoes and a wraith band, you'll constantly have only 25~ damage.
4. less than 10 min- end the game(destroy enemy ancient)
all are done in lobby games, no bots 1v0
extra challenge: all hero challenge(win 1 game with every hero), done in solo ranked.
yea, it's an empty lobby, you can farm everything/anything.
i got to 950 with meepo recently
well, this isn't a thing for a 2k player who's trying to get better. SUSU: u need to elaborate on which role you want to get better at.
Support: watch warding guides, always carry tp to counter gang/save allied. positioning/itemisation is usually where you fail as a support.
offlane: know when to play passive/when to play agressive, and always carry a tp to counter gang. furthermore you need to be able to know when to jungle, or when to stay in lane.
Carry: Keep creep equilibrium, perfect your lasthits, know your limitations of your hero (this applies to every hero in general) know when to initiate and when to split push. Know when your hero peaks and what timings to hit.
Mid: Great map awareness, know when to play aggressive/defensive (if enemy supports are missing) know the mechanics how to pull creeps uphill so you have advantage with lasthits.
There are different mechanical skills for each role, but what I get the most out of, is watch professional streams, almost as much as I do playing. almost every time I learn something new :)
Edit: Cookie, you are a 5,5k player talking to a 2k player ;) Keep that in mind. Meepo isn't a hero for a 2k player. OFc its doable with naga/meepo/alc but this guy is struggling with stacks, pulling etc.
i gave all these to a 2k player and he became 3.5k in a couple of weeks after doing them and the appropriate playstyle
ive done 600 in 6.88 multiple times as AM but ive never done it even once from 7.00 up to now
and yeah ive done those when i was like 2700 and highest mmr i got was 3688 which i lost recently and dropped to 3522
i can say that all of those rly help a lot, in 688 i once had a large streak as sven because i can just outfarm everybody
I got 650 on my first try in 7.00
I'll be honest
People kept saying that I'm very good mechanically but I don't even know the definition of mechanical skills
Discipline, analyzing replays, thinking why pros do x instead copying of what they do mindessly
Gonna go for the cookie bootcamp. I thank you for this.
@cara meepo and naga are my favorite heroes, im just too scared to play them 😭 And also thanks for the advices
got 599 on am first try but i forgot the courier at the start so my bf was delayed like 40 seconds going btb xd
@susu are you just bad or what with naga and meepo? If no just pick them 1st if yes make a smurf and 1st pick meepo or naga every game for fun
you can literally use any hero, i got to 950 a couple of days ago with meepo
800+ with terror, am and luna.
i haven't tried any other heroes, but i can test it for you if you want
@fx im not bad with them, i practice both on a daily basis in bots, but When it comes to mm game, it just doesnt fit the lineup or the enemy have too many counters. I also dislike to first pick unless i go roaming Earth spirit
Edit: also im not very comfy with a hero who need a ton of farm to become viable with a support who leeches, pushes the lane constantly and steals your cs. This might Sound like whining but most of the time you get a support like that. And doesnt know how to pull and stack
doesn't matter, enemy in low mmr doesn't gank you ever properly
so you have beyond freefarm in those games.
i think if u really wanna good mechanical skills, u need to eat healthy and do sports. Good reaction-time can not be built only on try-harding
need to eat healthy and do sports
It's quite legit actually
My reflex has been dogshit ever since I gained 20 kg for the past 4 years
I remember wrecking people on CS and now I'm struggling against nova 4 scrubz lul (rustiness comes into play but still, I just cant remove people as quick as they pop out like I used to)
Record it to yt cookie I want to see your farming pattern
yo @susu just play yolo but good. when trying to play meepo at the start i was always like omg they got ember omg they got shaker etc. but the worst is u gonna get raped and u could analyse what to do in those situations by finding replays of pros like abed in the same situation. i remember rtz won with meepo against wd shaker ember and 2 others which were also counters you could see how he played and what he built to counter the situation i guess (im an ok meepo not a great one tho bc i didnt really focus on him for a good long while)

because that beats the purpose of discovering them yourself.
you need to understand it, not just copy/paste it.
will give it a shot rn with meepo let's see how it goes but srsly if u do it on yt we could understand it but i would guess ur mind is made up
it's not a problem for me to do them for you, the problem is you can just copy/paste it without understanding the meaning of them
Ive tried the cookiecamp, and Ive failed miserably on the second step.
I like the challenge here, thanks again cookie!
(Ps. I eat healthy, play rollerderby and drive rallycross)
Watch pro players games, watch your own games, find the mistakes, talk to yourself loudly during these stuff to let it go through your skull.
and never stop training. don't be afraid of losing MMR or smth. just play to have fun.
More Skills => more fun D:
btw congratz on your way up to 2k.
wish you luck ^ ^
i'd upload it but the replay is super zoomed in and there's no fog, any way i can fix this?
^ A GOD lol, cookie is it also possible to do that shit other than meepo/naga/am/alch/tb?
for example weaver? is it possible for him to get 600 lh in 30?
probably 600+ with any carry with standard farming ability, i'm not sure about weaver specifically.
i'm definitely sure it's possible to get 1k with maapo, 800+ probably best is terror, am and luna
okay i did 750 with meepo and 730 with am till min 30
and 100 with meepo and 92 with am till min 10
i could reach 120 with meepo if i stack more (did only one) i guess
i got talon qb with am was worth it i think bc i couldve rotated to jungle from like min 4 to miss 1 lane creep for a hard camp
those challenges like 20 dmg morph last hitting are so retarded
if you lasthit like that in a 1v1 mid matchup your opponent will deny all the creeps
farming shti is also pretty pointless because you will never follow those patterns in a real game
@cookie offtopic here real quick, can i ask your keybinds for meepo ? Im just real curious. I have 1-5 on meepos not items
i actually only use y for all meepos, x for all except main
c for meepos 2-3 and v for meepo 4-5
and believe it or not, i actually didn't use any of that in the 900+ i just manually clicked it.
probably would've gotten 1k if i had some micro skills.
p.s the morph challenge actually isn't a pure lasthitting challenge, it's the evolution of the 80/40 lane control challenge.
morph challenge teaches you to control the lane properly, this one should be done in the midlane as a mistake there will screw you hard.
idk i did the morph one twice and felt like it helped me a lot with counting individual melee ticks
cookie whats the point of destroying the enemy ancient as fast as possible
how does this help me
^ help you win
what else happen when enemy ancient destroyed?

Im here once again, asking useful shit. For me. I guess?
So normal skill scrub, 2k now (finally) from 650mmr. I rose the ranks by actually learning how to pull, stack, deny and farm in bots. Played every hero on bot games until i won a game, learned what hero skills actually do and how to counterpick(i still suck at this though)
I noticed my lack of Speed, coordination and i guess way too complicated keybinds. I make terrible mistakes, unable to use item on time or use the wrong skill even i if i know what im suppose to do.
Watched a friend play and he can execute things so much smoother than me. Also i cant use the altcommand properly.
is it just train, train and train or something else ? Or then im just too old to learn mechanical skill :D
