The big problem with carry riki is that you can't hit buildings in a meta where hitting buildings is extremely hard due to shrines/armour when you group up as 5. Putting position 1 farm on a hero who can function without it and won't be able to hit buildings AKA win the game is generally a mistake unless the hero brings something incredible to the table.

I guess I will say that while the idea of sub forums is pretty standard, but it is a bad idea for dotabuff. And I'm not gonna bother explaining why.
As to the quality of content and discussion. Well all I can say is what do u expect. It's a public place. Anyone can post. Just by natural distribution of dota players according to skill, it's gonna be hard to find good input. You'd just need more high mmr players to post more while competing to get themselves heard in a sea of shit because it's just a regular forum not Reddit w a upvote system.
5k may be wrong to a 7k, but what they know is good enough to help a 2k even if his explanation and rationale is incomplete. In fact, u shouldn't try to bombard a 2k with 7k logic. Do u see physics professors teaching elementary school science? I mean they will tell you most of what u learn in elementary sch is wrong. So why do u teach it if it's wrong? Well I'll let you figure that one out yourself
