i mean, mid heroes like brewmaster, puck, or even sometimes qop, was put mid. Now they're like offlane, and i'm kinda confused why that happens..
Probably because as POS 2 they are the ones who are gonna carry the game before 30 min and then the POS 1 will take over in carrying in late game mark and that's why they need to farm hard to snowball not waste any time in ganking and then there is nothing you can get to it.
Ganking is now the POS 3 and POS 4 roles.
Because it is a complete waste of economy for a mid to spend 50 gold on a TP, leave the lane, then try to gank another lane, give up the kill to the carry (or worse, get KS'd) and then make their way back to mid with lower mana and health and maybe a couple hundred gold.
And while you were gone, the enemy mid gained 2 levels and hit 25/25 creeps while you left him to freefarm.
Thats why mids shouldnt gank and its why position 4 should gank FOR his mid
too much experience is in mid, if you go gank, you better do double, tripple kill and fast tp back, or you will still be in minus compared to enemy mid who just farms/denies. I personally really dont like the change, but heh... whatever :)
The pros figured out that is not efficient to skip lane/jungle farm so they switched to semi carriers that can get the most of the lane, its even more important now that you have more creeps and faster tempo on that lane and winning the lane thus deny the enemy from getting any farm/exp its more important than ganking the sides.

I have played dota for a year now, and i started to realize, what happened with ganking mids? why does mid now filled with farming mids like invoker, ta, sf, etc. Is there something that i don't understand that has been going on a couple months ago?
