I've recently finished calibrating. The result:
    Old mmr: 6.5k
    New mmr:5949
    Medal: divine 5
    In calibration matches i go
4 win 6 lose, i only play 3 times as a core. Is this normal, or i fucked up when calibration match begin ?

    For the horde

summail got like 6.7k so its awesome

My 7k friend calibrated at 6k mmr and some ppl around 5k8 and 5.9k calibrated same as the old mmr ones. I mean is that even fair to combine 6k and 7k as 1 bracket ?
I know as time goes by ppl who really 7k will reach that mmr again, but after 6 month it will reset and u need to work hard again to reach that bracket, really ?

how did you know your mmr? is that medal only on dota menu? they hide your mmr now right?

          Jared

When mmr was first introduced most pros had between 5.1-6.3k mmr. Before this update most of them were 8-10k. They will get to 9k sooner or later.

Yeah i know that, but after 6 months all that 9k will reset again, all of their hardwork, so whats the point of grinding mmr now ?

The whole point is that if they don't do this mmr will reach 20k after some years. I guess.

so whats the point of grinding mmr now ?

The point is the Rank that is based on the MMR. They will grind to climb the Leaderboard Ranks (that would be eventually visible beside all Divine 5 players), and not aim for a specific MMR figure.

Where do you find your "new" mmr. I just got my rank today and am interested in what the MMR equivalent is.

                        Found it.
On your profile tab, click stats, and it will show in top right corner.
