na has no stand out team, meanwhile u got liquid from eu, and some close competitors
vp from cis and even navi is competing there
china has its lgd and newbee
even sea has mineski and now fnatic as close competitors
the closest thing na has is complexity rn, even eg is slacking off

even alliance won a large number of tournaments after TI
newbee is doing fine
rosters don't last forever, and in general ur mistaking a "curse" with falling behind
teams can't stay at the top forever
