i think you need a streak of wins to increase medals. mmr has ceased to matter. I go 50 percent winrate in rank then i chalk up 5 straight victories, i get a medal up. Happened too many times to me for it to be a coincidence.
I still think it is related to mmr though. You have to win while being in like an avg mmr of your brackwt for the win streak to matter. At that point the mmr will also be in line with rrank up!

Hey so i get this problem, while my medal wont increase after i get 8 won or +200 mmr since my last medal upgrade. So i get archon 3 at 2.4k. Now my mmr is 2636 and my medal still wont increase.. Cant someone tell me why bcs it gets so frustrating at this point
