the sum of the values of your function is infinity, because you add a positive number greater than 1 infinite amount of times.
its intuitively obvious because if the function is not discontinuos or periodical (=weird, using normal words), and after certain point all the values are close to a certain number not equal to 0; then if we sum the values all together (and there are infinity of them), we will get infinity. well, mb minus infinity, but it doesnt matter. i think its pretty obvious, isnt it? if you multiply N by infinity, you conna get +infinity or -infinity as long as N is not a 0.

firstly, n is natural, so it starts with 1, not 0. 1/2^1 = 1/2
secondly, 2^3 = 8, not 16
so we have the sum of (1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, ...)
